![]() ![]() If you try to exhaust heat through a tunnel for instance, it doesn't work as well. You may also need more than one cooler depending on your freezer size.įinally make sure the coolers have the blue side in towards freezer, and make sure the red side is facing to a tile with open sky above it. Adding an airlock to your entry will help (meaning have a door, then a short hallway, then another door), and also keep the amount of entrances to a minimum. Yet, it says its blocked by an oak tree, isnt this supposed to be auto-done What am I missing Cheers. Is it true that different material types will isolate better?ĭouble walls will help (triple or more do not). Im struggling to maintain the temperatures under 0C. Thanks for clearing that out, im currently researching batterys and this will come in handy! :)ītw does someone know a good setup video for freezer storage rooms? (Edit) Batteries need a roof over them else they explode in rain. Energy output is jumping around and you have to use them with batteries and i hate batteries even more. Turbine - Cable - Battery - Cable - Wall/Room Sure they are not cheap to build, but once built, its free energy. How is this possible given that they are in the. The other 6, however, are fine and unblocked. In this image, the info panel is telling me the two leftmost turbines are being blocked by wind turbines. Later on when you start making your own guns, and what not you want every companet you can get so proteck anythign that costs them to avoid expenses you didn't plan for like kitchen being set on fire burnign up the stove, and I wierd put sewing machine in same room since I build it near the stock pile and I got make the room a decen size anyways so I do butcher table, stove, then sewing machine, and stone cutter on the other side of the room, and slap down some toolbox things that workin on eveyr thing but the stove.Originally posted by StinkyMonkey:As above, but also a battery helps a great deal else your power will go up and down with the wind speed and be unusable at times. Wind turbine is blocked somehow Was doing some power arrangement, and I came across a problem with the wind turbine/solar panel overlap combo. ![]() The base rooms are not to horrible to be wood for a bit but I woudl have dirt floor then wood in any area with things that need compenets. If you compress it using 7ip or WinRAR (or likewise utility) then you might be able to upload it as an attachment (600kb limit), or failing that you can use a cloud storage service such as Dropbox or GoogleDrive to host the file and then post the download link (or a file sharing service such as Mega or Zippyshare if preferred). Also I recomend covering wires in stone walsl whe you can as they can pop any where and they soak it up like a sponge for you bit harder to do with outdoor lines so I try make those as short as I can and use non flamable floor like stone around them so say one pops it won't set my farms on fire. That way if a zzt goes off nothing is lighting up but the other stuff near what goes. Thats why the wind get blocked from walls and trees. And the wind strenght around ground is pretty weak against the strenght at the high of the top of trees. its -1 beuty for concrete floors uses one metal but fire proof flooring. At last the high of a panel is barly nothing compared to a mature tree. I would say that wind turbine are better than solar generators though. They also provide more consistent power while wind turbines can be a bit iffy. It also reduces the area that needs to be kept clear to 4x4 behind and 8x4 in front, which is the exact space needed for three solar panels. You can build these things quite densely if you arrange them in a spiral. Geothermal generators are still far better, since they require no maintanence like growing crops and can be walled off far from your base. This mod reduces the size of wind turbines to 4x2, allowing them to line up with solar panels. I just assumed if two turbines air paths crossed that they would interfere with each other, and never bothered to try. Maybe this is common knowledge, but if I made this mistake I figure a few other people might have as well. I recomend upgrading that area to stone asap or use concrete. PSA: Wind Turbines Air Paths Can Overlap. ![]()
